Not On The High Street Photography Guide

So you have some fantastic products, and a real passion for what you do, now you need it to earn the money! There are a few websites out there for you to sell your products through, places like Etsy and Not On The High Street are a couple. You sign up, and realise you need some beautiful photography to go with your products - Yay! You’ve come to the right place.

For websites like Not On The High Street, you are required to submit photos of your products along with the text in order to register with them. They then look at each application before deciding whether you can sell on their platform or not. This might sound harsh, but it helps to keep the site looking great, and this requires a certain level of quality photography.

Having professional photography of your products also helps you to stand out on the website, and gives the customer a clear picture of what they are buying. You can upload quite a few images per product, so we can capture all those little details too, and add some props for scale.

NOTHS are keen for the images to be on a lighter background, images which are very dark, or products on a mannequin do not work well on the site, so we can tailor your photoshoot around these requirements. The images will also be shown square, so let me know your shoot is for Not On The High Street and we will factor this is when shooting your products.
